Is the NIV a corrupt translation? Is the KJV the ONLY acceptable "inspired" translation to read from? Have verses actually been removed from the NIV and other modern translations? I read both the NIV and King James version. I cross referenced many passages and confirm it is reliable.

This was very helpful and informative. I was raised catholic and all we had at home was a catholic bible- I had no idea about all the translations nor controversy surrounding them. So, when I decided I wanted to look more into Christianity as a young adult, I picked out the NIV at the bookstore and that’s the only Bible I still have. Only upon researching online did I discover the discourse around the translations. The NIV has been great for me and has brought me from an atheist to Christianity. Also, just from a linguistic and historical standpoint, I think it’s pretty cool to learn about and read the different versions. I love how Bible apps and websites have it where you can choose a verse and see all the translations. Once I have more money I’d like to own a collection of Bibles in other translations!

I think you did a great job on this. Satan loves when Christian's argue over frivilous things that have nothing to do with salvation. Those who are lost see Christian's fighting amongst each other and they don't want any part of it. If we can't love each other, how can we show love to those lost?

I started to enjoy reading and understanding the Word of God thru the NIV translation...However there are just some scriptures that the KJV hold weight!

God is certainly able preserve His message.
He uses flawed men.
The NIV isn’t the best.
But the KJV wasn’t the original. (Want the original? Learn Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek.)
It’s good. But it’s not perfect either.
His word still stands.
His message is still preserved.

I'm in my mid 30s and for the first time in my life I finally prioritized time to read the Bible from the very beginning. I was familiar with NIV being mentioned at my church so I searched for it at Walmart and Target and couldnt find one. And ending up buying KJV for a $1 at Dollar Tree. I'm actually happy reading KJV! Ive been following along with the audiobooks on youtube. I am so grateful for the audio! And my life has definitely changed reading Gods Word along with morning prayer! I'm on Lamentations right now. I can't wait to get to the New Testament!

I bought NIV after reading Psalms Amazon and I plan to read it from the beginning once I'm done with KJV

I love KJV. I enjoy NKJV. I like NIV. The only bible translation I wont accept is the Jehovah Witness bible NWT.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I have made several attempts throughout my life to read the KJV Bible but always felt completely lost because I couldn't really understand what the words were trying to convey. I recently purchased the NIV version and the clarity of the Word is so much better ... as if the fog has lifted and His words can shine through. I then heard about all of the disparity about this version and was concerned that I was being mislead. I've read a few pieces on the differences and then I found your video. Thank you from the bottom of my heart; it was so helpful to be reminded that the Lord speaks to us in many ways and each of your points make valid arguments to the point that truly, God has many ways to reach our hearts and the NIV version cleared a path for me. Also, let us not forget that it is man who is interpreting the Word in each version provided to us all the way back to when the Bible first came to be. Let us just listen and allow the Spirit to touch us as God would have it be. Thank you again providing clarity, like the tone of a bell, leading us to the Word, whichever key (version) opens our hearts to Christ. Abundant blessing to you.

Thank you for this video - I was introduced to the NLT version of the bible at my present church and it really opened my appetite for reading the bible. I read the bible now almost everyday and it's easier for me to understand the concepts and context better. Praise the Lord he always meets us where we are at in life
