Really puts the sheer scale of the Axiom into perspective. You knew she was big when she was shown in space but here you get a feel for just how much of a leviathan she is.

3 things I noticed after a rewatch:
The Axiom is so HUGE that at 0:22 you can actually see vibrations on the ground from the ship moving through the air. When it cuts to the city, you can see the buildings shaking, dust & glass flakes falling off.
BNL knew that the "5 year cruise" was a sham. So they really built those support columns to last.
And if you really want a sense of scale, those support columns at 0:35 ARE PART OF THE SAME LANDING STRUCTURE. A cockroach runs over several miles towards the landing site & the Axiom is still in the air when he gets there.

Just imagine this, all these years of doing nothing but reports, The Captain finally regains full control over the Axiom, while it's doing a hyper jump trough the vast space and towards the planet your forefathers used to call home, it must be the feeling of a lifetime. I gotta say, if there's one thing BnL was right about is that the Axiom really is the "The jewel of the BnL fleet" it's an amazing, titanic ship.

Seeing the blue sky after the Axiom lands makes me believe this is symbolic. Humans have returned to Earth and the blue sky is hope that everything will turn out alright.

Fun fact: there was a kids book about what happened back on earth it was about eve needing to find a new directive and wall-e and captain b mcrea helping her the book. Is callled “back on earth” there is an audio video of it on youtube

One thing I think about is people saying that they are all dead, that theres no way the planet can sustain life. That ship they just landed in is built for such a more hostlie enviroment that they can undoubtedly survive on the planet by not even leaving the ship. Its Air Tight, self sufficient, and has an army of robots at its command

The Axiom would've been quite the interstellar cruiser if it was given a destination outside the Solar System. But BnL was unable to see the good it could do, so they squandered its potential as well.
