I wish there was a guide specifically made to show what languages to learn, in which order, how to practice problem solving, how to get into the field as a fresh programmer etc.

This has been reassuring. I've been focusing much more on making small (bad) web projects, than tutorials/learning. Been a little doubtful since its hard to feel progression but I believe in building over everything else.

In addition to problem solving, it comes down to what kind of person you are. If you are good at understanding system than people, then I think they won't have trouble in programming field. However, if you are more of a people person, or good at understanding people then programmer job is not suitable to them.
