"How to easily manually open the door" ...shows a grown ass man grunting and struggling to pry open the panel

Elon’s 4D chess plan commences at last: slowly ridding the world of millionaires through weaponized “incompetence”.

I am reminded of the elderly guy who died of heat in his sports car, because the electric doors failed and the manual backups were really obscure, and he didn't know about them.

Car had “unbreakable” windows and “bulletproof” doors, it’s like the opposite kind of problem that the titanic billionaire submarine had.

Her sister literally served as the secretary of transportation. Meaning her own family member personally had the opportunity to enforce safety standards on Elon's deathmobile.

This is an example of how the safety of modern design is taken for granted. This would be seen on a prototype, not a consumer product imo

*MECHANICAL door opening that over rides any door lock is a LEGAL requierment in the EU* so that will be why the newer video has the mechanical latch as well as electronic...!!!!

No matter how locked your door is - if you yank on the door release lever from the inside - it will open it in the EU. It also has to work up[side down [front doors]
EDIT "Tesla stopped offering the Model S and Model X in Europe in January of 2021 - this will likely be because they dont meet EU safety regs. Neither does the Cybertruck

hopefully this helps push congress to pass better safety regulations for cars

Geee it sure is a shame Mitch McConnell voted against all sorts of regulations involving safety features being mandated that could have saved his family members life.

Absolute ghoul.

Edit: didn’t see the failsafe latch later in the video.
Mea culpa.

On the real, Top Gear did this in real life to test all these myths. It’s worth watching for all these wrong ideas chat has about getting out of a submerging car. Don’t die people.

To drown in a horrible steel coffin, billionaire or not, what a fucking awful way to go. I can't imagine hearing that last call as she was sealed in.

edit: OH MY GOD! In a sane world Tesla would have went bankrupt and Elon would be a McDonalds cashier for how unsafe those cars are. No internal latch, you have to physically reach into the workings and pull, I genuinely hope that Tesla gets sued to hell over this.

It’s crazy that billionaires seem to not mind melting icecaps considering water has claimed the lives of a couple of them now

Yet another example of why you should always carry a window smasher in your car. The door may be locked, the window may not roll down, but with that very tiny tool, the window will break and you will be able escape a sinking car, either get out of a crashed car or help someone out of such crash car, etc.
is it likely that you will use it? No, most people will never use it. But it is the tiniest hammer and it occupies a fraction of all the trash that you have in the car anyway, but this could actually save your life.

The latches on the model X aren't actually manual release (according to the manual I looked up online, anyway) - they just disable the systems that keep the door in a specific position so you can push or pull it. While this normally wouldn't matter, it means they can still short and prevent you from being able to manually open or close it if you're underwater.

Also the locks might be electric.

I served in the navy, and one of the things the instructors taught us is to remain calm if the compartment floods, despite this, many recruits freaked out as the flooding reached the top bulkhead. Of course this was training, for billionaire civvies unaccustomed to being in danger, they are ones mostly likely to panic, as brackish water floods the vehicle, she was very much canned meat in water.

I remember the first time I ever interacted with a Tesla door and how it solidified my conviction of never buying one. Piece of shit cars.
