Mountain Equipment Makalu Jacket Review

In case you hadn't heard, Gore-tex has a brand new fabric, one that's looking likely to replace standard Gore-tex going forward. At the moment, however, only a few brands have been granted the rights to use it, one of them being Mountain Equipment who've rolled it out in their Makalu jacket... which is an impressive offering in itself.

What are the breathability MVTR [g/m^2/24hrs] and waterproofness [mm of hydrostatic head] specs of the EPA fabric?

Gonna throw this out there, anyone used mtn jacket as a snowboard shell? Seem a damn sight more durable than some SB brands. Wondering whether one of these Makalus would do the job, size up to L/XL perhaps
