Hear from Alexandra Liftman (Global Environmental Executive, Bank of America) on the importance of environmental disclosure, as we celebrate #CDPat20.

CDP was born in the year 2000 with a simple idea: that transparency on environmental impact could halt environmental destruction.

Today, more than 10,000 companies, cities, states and regions disclose their environmental data through CDP, to better understand and manage their impacts and risks. Investors, purchasing organizations and policymakers worldwide use CDP’s rich dataset - the largest of its kind - to make informed decisions.

Through the transparent sharing of data, we can build a sustainable, thriving economy that works for people and planet.

While much has been achieved, there is still much more to be done. If every company, investor, city and government becomes aware of the risks and prioritizes taking action, we can create a net-zero, water-secure and zero-deforestation future: the future we all want.
