Albania to ban social media platform TikTok for one year

Albania has joined a growing list of nations blocking social media platform TikTok.

The country's prime minister announced the move in response to the fatal stabbing of a teenager.

The government says it intends to block the platform for 12 months amid growing fears of increased violence promoted by social media.

Albania's Prime Minister says the block will begin next year but has not yet specified a date.

A TikTok spokesperson has told Sky News Australia; "We are seeking urgent clarity from the Albanian government. With regards to the tragic incident referenced, we found no evidence that the perpetrator or victim had TikTok accounts, and reports suggest videos regarding these incidents were being posted on another platform, not TikTok."

I am Albanian this about the jung boy is true. But the most important reason why government block Tik Tok is because 4 new parties use Tik Tok and meny people support this new political power and priminister is afraid he will lose the election next June. Same situation whith Rumania new President.

The Albanians lands are divided by the "Treaty Peace of London" in 1913. Kosovo, Shkupi, Manastir, Chameria, Presheva, Sanxhaku, Malesia are some Albanians territories outside todays Albania.
