Hiraben Modi, the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cast her vote at a polling booth in the Raysan village close to Gandhinagar during the second round of voting for the Gujarat Assembly elections on Monday. Living in Raysan village, close to Gandhinagar city, with her younger son Pankaj Modi, the PM's mother recently celebrated her 100th birthday. Pankaj Modi and other family members assisted her in a wheelchair as she made her way to the voting place to exercise her right to vote. After traveling to the state on Sunday afternoon in preparation for the state's election, the PM saw his mother and asked for her blessing.
