How does CFD trading benefits the economy? If I purchase a share in a company, the company I purchased the share from, can use that money to grow their business, which would manifest in profits, which would make my shares more valuable. In CFD trades in contrast, if I understand it correctly, money is only "swapped" in-between " gamblers", but no real "economic value" created in any shape or form. Could someone clarify this topic please?

I am unable to buy an ETF as its American based and I am European. I can buy the CFD. I want to invest long term in this however for 10 years or more. I want to long. At 3.15 in this video you mention if the value of the CFD rises I can lose money? How so? I want to go Long.

If the leverage is already high on FX and you can go long or short, why would anyone trade FX CFDs?

It's similar to the Old Bucketshop Trading here in the US during the turned of Century w/c Jesse Livermore used to trade on 10-shares lots on a $1 dollar margin. And the Vig or Juice is .25cents per shares. So, the customer is only Margin to .75cents. From " Reminesences of Stocks Operator ". New name for it is CFD! Haha!
