'Prince George Joins Kate and Will for Men's Wimbledon Final'

Prince George has joined his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the men’s singles final at Wimbledon.

Kate, who wore a navy-blue skirt and matching top with white polka dots, also introduced George to ball boys and girls and Wimbledon staff. The Cambridges then walked across the bridge to the Centre Court to cheering crowds. Report by Matt Blair.

I love how Catherine takes the time to introduce George to everyone. And they way William hugs him and kisses her on their arrival. What a lovely example. I feel we are lucky to have them. (Although I’m sure I’ll get a load of backlash from grumpy people!) .

It's lovely how William recognises that Catherine is the patron of the All England Club and takes the secondary role.

You can see it's challenging for George, as it would be for any 8-year-old, but his parents guide him, and you can see he's been instructed how to act. So many kids would benefit from having to meet people and learn proper behavior in public. It doesn't just happen; it needs to be taught. William and Catherine demonstrate one successful way to do so.

I like how his parents give George space to feel a bit introverted and shy in these situations. No prodding to be chatty or keep eye contact. It's quite natural for a child to feel overwhelmed in an adult setting, especially in such a unique situation. I often wonder what he is thinking.
