Laser therapy is also known as photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT MeSh term) and uses non-ablative light sources (e.g. laser diodes or light emitting diodes LEDs) with specific wavelengths that stimulate wound and tissue healing, decrease inflammation and pain and increase local circulation.

Supported by thousands of human/animal clinical trials and research papers, PBMT’s growth in Veterinary clinical utilization has been exponentially rising over the last decade for both companion animal and equine rehabilitation. PBMT is used to accelerate regeneration of all injured tissue types including muscle, nerve, fascia, tendon, ligament, cartilage and bone. It is effective in decreasing inflammation with no side effects, has very few contraindications and can even be used for dental conditions such as gingivitis and periodontitis as well as inflammatory joint diseases like osteoarthritis.

Join BIOFLEX’s Medical Director, Dr. David Kunashko for an informative webinar focused on the fundamentals of Veterinary laser therapy including historical perspectives, mechanisms of action, clinical applications, safety and precautions and current published peer reviewed research.
