I have several bows and use both. Over time I've had more trouble with Drop-aways (springs break, activation chords breaking-that kind of stuff). The Whisker Biscuit is extremely accurate, but for target shooting a lot of arrows it can be harder on fletching. You also can't beat a Whisker Biscuit for simplicity and Arrow Capture.

This is my first year bow hunting. I use the 3 prong whisker biscuit. I like it because it holds my arrow in place perfectly also it wasn't to expensive. Great video. God Bless from Oklahoma.

I have both styles and really like them, but the WB is the KING hands down.

I'm new to archery so what do I know but my bow came with a 3 prong whisker biscuit and shoots just fine for me

The difference under 40 yards between the two can't even be measured because the arrow hits it's target in 1/2 a second (120') so if an average bow is shooting around 250', there's practically zero time for a deer to react. By the time it hears the string, something's gone through it already. So whoever can't take a deer with a whisker biscuit, trust me, it's not their bow that's wrong. Oh yeah, and whisker biscuits are quieter, don't require tuning and accuracy-wise, up to 40 yards, there is no difference.

I saw a TV personality miss a hammer with a very popular drop away rest because the rest stayed cocked and didn't drop. He actually said out loud that if he was shooting a whisker biscuit he would have killed that deer.

Fresh on the bow. Got a diamond octane from a friend. Hunted with a pump 760 game master an AR 5.56 for years now finally got me a stick slinger. Can’t wait to put it to
Work. Just got to get the draw right. I was looking on YouTube for good videos on how to do it myself. Any suggestions? Thanks fellas.

I shoot whisker biscuit and been doing so since before drop away was popular in the hunting community. I am looking at getting vector custom arrows with four fletch but I’m worried about 4 vanes passing through. Any thoughts? I really want to try the three prong because I thought the point of the gap was to allow the vanes to pass through freely. Talked to a dealer and was told the arrow needs to be set to still pass the vanes through the bristles? Not sure?

I shot lefty to begin with I also shot a bear paradox at 63lbs I used the rth w.b. put a react pro 5 pin site & had to move the sight to the opposite of the riser. I put a drop away & hand to move the site back to the correct side of the riser. Tuned the bow, paper tuned it, still hitting targets from 20-60yds.

I used whisker biscuits for years and never had any trouble didn't have any troubles with my fletchings either just saying.
I did have troubles with a drop away when they first come out and freezing rain it froze and wouldn't move.
People say they solve that problem now I don't know I haven't used one since

I am a short man with a short draw length shooting max poundage. My arrow flight was getting messed up. Turns out the fletchings were beating the drop away due to the arrow being so much closer but still still fast at max poundage. I had to modify my drop away.

What about other types? Such as triple brush type, prong horn and others. Please comment. Thank you.

already been proven whisker biscuit is 1.5 fps slower then drop away also replacing fletch's where did you get that idea from i have shot the same arrows hundreds of times thru my whiskerbiscuit and never once a problem so i really think you need more homework first on this.i have different biscuts in each of my compounds and none have given any problems at all. i use to love the fork rests and i do have one but its going to be used on one of my trad bows when i get the motivation to install it this way i can shoot feathers or fletches on trad

So all whisker biscuit disadvantages are "insignificant" for hunting, and its advantage is reliability. So the only reason for a drop away is target shooting at longer ranges? So they should be banned from hunter classes in competitions?
