The fact Cahara was the only main character with an alive family waiting for him to come back always makes me sad

Who could have thought a good for nothing mercenary would end up being the most selfless character in the game? History may not remember him or his part in the creation of a god, but I wanna believe god of fear and hunger still remembers him.

So if i remember this right. The canon endings involve Ragna'valdir finds Legaurde dead and goes on a killing spree of monsters becoming the god of ultra violence.
Enki travels to the throne after having a chat with the previous member of the new gods. Refuses god hood like the last guy, and becomes immortal.
D'arce discovers Legaurdes body, searches the library, finds a ressurection spell, and brings Legaurde back to life.
Cahara frees the locked girl, travels to the bottom of the depths, witnesses the girls morphosis into a new god. The new god is born, and gives Cahara the mercy of a painless death.

The music takes this ending to the next level. Cahara died selflessly. What a tragic ending.

Man, Cahara wasn't the hero we deserved but the one we needed. may the Goddess of Fear and Hunger hold him dearly in her heart. It always made me sad that he isn't even mentioned in the sequel, but due to the selfless nature of his sacrifice it was to be expected...

The acknowledgment of suffering is kind of the part I can understand when the birth of the god of fear hunger in the game. She's basically soothing the characters to accepting the inevitable fate as she will eventually lead humanity into being motivated and outstanding into the next technological age. So all he can do is just rest for a long time even though he wanted to come back home from the dungeons which is sad ngl.

His sacrifice is what saved humanity, as sad as his fate is.

Cahara was the most mistreated character by this world, his lover is awaiting for him and he will never set her free, such an unjust end :(

Ngl it would have been cool if God of fear and Hunger took Cahara as her servant, like how Rher uses Pocketcat as his servant. At least he would have been able to go back to his family one last time to say goodbye or warn them about the upcoming cruel age

Assuming Celeste is fine and safely gave birth

I wonder if Cahara's descendant exists somewhere in the future like Ragnvaldr's

One thing I really like about this ending is even though she rivals the old gods in power, rather than just disappearing like the fight with traces of Slyvian or refusing to acknowledge you for winning the fight like traces of Gro-Goroth, she acknowledges you, and even though you still die in the end, it's probably the least painful way you could die in the dungeons. I believe her killing Cahara was out of mercy, because in his S ending we see even though he got everything he wanted and escaped, the darkness of the dungeon haunted him and he could never rest again..

Makes canonical sense that Cahara is the one fighting to stay awake. His wife awaits him at home, and the little girl he saved ended up becoming a god of unpredictable natures.

He's seeing his selfless endeavors only end in a peaceful death. One he did not seek, only wishing to see things through to the end. Only to find the innocent soul he saved transformed.

Man... he had a daughter back home too... it hurts so much to see that it was his parental instincts that ultimately toppled the final piece that leads to this moment

''Pumpkin... no. Daisy... neh. Angel? Hm...

Ah, damn it, I can't think of a good name!

For now let's stick to the "Girl"

Yeah, I know, very original

When we'll get out of here, maybe Celeste will have a better name for you

Hm? Why are you looking so surprised? I won't leave you behind in this cursed dungeon.

For now, our main goal is to get enough treasure so we'll live like kings!

So be ready, Girl.

It won't be easy, but we'll make it!''

Cahara is my favorite character in this game, but I just can't but hope that we'll see his descedants or something.

I headcanon that Cahara's wife becomes the first person to pray to the God of Fear and Hunger and the god protects her as an act of kindness for her husbands sacrifice, idc how poor the theory is or how bad it is, it helps me cope 😭😭😭

little girl a real piece of work for not teleporting you out after you help her ascend or something like that

I keep having the visual that the little girl was canonically treated well by the merc, and that she showed him some sense of comfort and safety as she held him to stop em from facing the crappy future to come. (Literally what it mf says right on the screen🤦‍♂️)

As much as Cahara was a thief he also had a heart. A heart to save the poor girl stuck in a cage, and a heart to stand before all the challenges that wishes them both harm. He probably hoped to take her home with him after they escaped the dungeon and add another daughter to his family so his child would have a sister. it’s sad to think that In the end, the girl would be his demise when all he wanted to do was save her.
