Guitarists far and wide love Friedman’s original BE-OD overdrive pedal. I love Nick, great guy and info on the pedal as well as I still even use my BE-OD Deluxe with my Friedman Runt for extra gain channels and slight breakup tone on the blue channel, blows away many other gain pedals. However, the sound on this demo has some phase issues and overall EQ problems, I would redo the demo. Thanks and Sweetwater is the best!

Just a terrible demo of a great pedal. Sweetwater, please, Nick seems like a great guy, but his demos are not helping you or Friedman.

Best demo ever as far as I'm concerned .He's plugged into a very un-forgiving off shore SS Orange combo instead of a $3k stack and thats a big part of why this sounds the way it does. See Pete Thorn BE-100 pedal demo. YMMV.

Horrible tone. Fire this guy. Sorry but man this is a horrible sound. I own all of the Friedman pedals and I’ve never been able to get a terrible sound like this

I’ve owned a lot of drive pedals over the years, but I stopped at this one. The lead/high gain channel is great, but the second/lower gain channel is the absolute selling point. Such a great warm sound, wonderful note clarity, and a breath of fresh air if your sick of that high mid tube screamer sound. This pedal can get that sound for sure, but it’s way more versatile than that. I have to say it… this is not a very good sounding demo for this pedal

I love Sweetwater and have bought several things from them but why put this up! Have watched several videos of this pedal ranging from the great to the no thank you but this is the worst. You are great guys to deal with but some of your online demos are not the greatest.

Yikes, not a great review at all. I own this pedal and it turns my Fender Twin into Friedman 100. Doesn’t sound scooped whatsoever… but this review makes it sound like a DS-1. I would not judge this pedal based on this demo.
