I can't believe how far Raspberry Pi went. I remember how confused I was to download an ISO image, then somehow put it on an SD card, then boot, but I don't know the IP address, the user/password ... This tool is more than the bare minimum that I used to see. Now I don't have to manually download the ISO, extract, then search for an IP address and so on - everything is so easy. Thanks @Raspberry Pi!

It would be worth to mention in this video that after installing flashed SD card into Raspberry and powering it up, it will take around 5 minutes before an image on HDMI port will be available. I almost powered off my Raspberry Pi3 assuming that flashing went wrong, and this probably could broke the system for good.

Re point 2 in my post a couple hours ago: It's mostly for persons like me who want to see if the software will even run, before we read any instructions, then forget to read them when the software _seems_ clear to use without instructions. One way to avoid all these issues is to just make the default behavior to always open the Image customization options (on OSs where they are appropriate), so at least the user sees what's in it, and they can choose Close right away, or there can be a Setting to skip it on subsequent runs, included in the Save in Image customization options, along with all those other options.

This was a great video. As usual, I forgot about the magic ctrl-shift-X, and so I had to go OG -- run raspi-config, and wait for a reboot. (Just enough time to feed my cat.) But that's just me -- and from what I see in these comments, restarting is not the big deal. Let me just say -- the imager and video are great, a quantum leap beyond Etcher-ing or buying a NOOBS card. There's more to do AFTER imaging -- but this is great for getting started. Thank you.

Why Ctrl-Shift-X hotkey? Why not just put [Advanced settings] button on the UI?

I couldn't see a card at all when I did 'Choose storage', because I'd already put the card in the Mac. I unmounted the card from the desktop and put it back in, then switched back to the imager and tried 'Choose storage' again and then I saw the card.

Also, be careful if you've also got other hard drives connected at the same time, you probably don't want to accidentally format those if you've got stuff on them, so make sure you're picking the correct item (look at the size, that's a clue) !

Im attempting to download this onto my PC but when I click storage there is nothing. Is there something I need to do beforehand for something to show up?

It forgot to descript that we should run the program in the window. I though to just copy the imager to SD card and everything will run like Video when it first boot.
