I don’t want to hate the character, but I don’t think her persona belongs in the show. The Simpsons has always depicted people and their roles in modern society from a satirical perspective and that’s why Mrs. Krabapple fit the bill to a T. As for Ms. Peyton, she’s the teacher every elementary school student dreams of having in their classroom. I wish I had a teacher like her when I was little. In a word: Perfect! And that’s my problem with her fitting into The Simpsons universe.
