God wanted this to be where the tables of the law or the Ten Commandments He was about to give Moses would be placed.

The Ark of Covenant was built by the chief artisan of the Tabernacle, Betzalel using specific instructions from God such as on the source material, the furnishing, the dimensions, and so on. In addition to the wooden acacia box, there were two boxes made from gold that formed an encasement for the wooden box. So, the structure of the Ark comprised three layers: gold, wood, and gold. The Ark had no feet; it rested directly on the ground. Rings were fastened to each of its four corners, through which gold-plated wooden poles were threaded.

In Revelation 11:19 John saw the "ark of his testament" in heaven. I haven't read anywhere that it has been returned to earth.

The ark of the covenant is likely in a cave on the Mount of Olives because Jeremiah needed a location to conceal it in close proximity when the Babylonian army was approaching. Moses could also see the Mount of Olives from Mount Nebo where he died.

the ark of the covenant rev 11 mentions to being in seen in the temple in heaven at the sounding of the 7th trumpet. if there still is a earthly ark of the covenant there are truly 2 possible theories 1. when Nebuchadnezzer king of babylon came and invaded Jerusalem and burned down the temple they couldn't take it with them so they buried it beneath the temple where the dome of the rock stands today. so the ark of the covenant could be buried beneath the dome of the rock. theory #2 when Nebuchnezzer came to invade and burn down Jerusalem he most likely took the treasures of the Lord's house or temple back with him to Babylon modern-day Iraq so the ark of the covenant could be in iraq.

Please don't misunderstand me, but all the things that the bible says happened have not been proven to be true. It is a book writen by someone and transposed to another book and another book. If you look at the King James bible it is about 4" thick, yet the tablets found from what i have seen do not contain enough writing to amount to a book that thick. To me the bible is a story of things that could have happened but are they true. You have to understand that all people beleive in something not of this world a supreme being that did all of the things that the bible states. Yet is it true or is it a fable that was told throughout the years and transposed into a book for people to read. I beleive that an alien race once came here and helped the people of earth evolve. The reason i say this is that there is no proof of the missing link that has ever been found and there are alot of missing facts that can't be explained. The Pyramids were not built by the Egyptians, they were there before this era. We have no proof of how they were built other than seeing them in place. and the placement of them represents the star chart's of the havens. There is no way that the things created 1, 000's of years ago were done soley by man without help from someone else not of this world. Back then they had bronze and copper tools but for the structures that were built it with granite which cannot be machined with copper or bronze tools so please prove me wrong.
