abapGit is a git client for ABAP written in ABAP. It requires ABAP version 702 SP 8 or higher. It will help you to work with Git within SAP. Therefore you can pull a Git repository into the SAP system and work with several open source tools.

abapGit comes in 2 flavours: standalone or developer version.
- The standalone version is for users. It consists of a (huge)
program that contains all the code you need. You run the standalone
version in transaction SE38 and run the program you have created.
- The developer version is for developers who contribute to the abapGit
code base. It consists of all ABAP programs/classes/interfaces/etc.
of the abapGit project. You run the developer version with transaction ZABAPGIT. Only the developer version supports parallel processing, so you may be interested even if you do not intend to contribute to the project.
