This couldn’t have been timed any differently, my father recently lost his battle with lung cancer not even three weeks ago. We’re holding his celebration of life ceremony this Saturday where I’ll be giving his obituary. I’m only 23 and I feel lost and frustrated that my family is in this position. I shed tears in listening to this song, It's difficult for us to think about when our loved ones may pass away, because we always, always believe that they will live on forever, especially our parents. I really don't know how I would feel when they are gone, but I know one thing, its the fact that they gave me a wonderful/best life that I can ever be grateful for. This one hit me right in the heart.

October 2nd 2011 I lost my father. I was with him holding his hand when he went. This man was my hero and my world. I’ve never had anyone in my life that loved me as much as he did. Losing him wrecked me bad. It took me a year to get Help. I am proud to say ow that I’ve been sober since the end of 2012. Not having him here still hurts to this day.

This song is so amazing and beautiful. It reminds me of him and this song is actually helping me. Thank you.

Tears! I feel this song n lyrics too- my dad passed suddenly Aug 2021 in his car, after his 2nd shift from work. My mom found him. He was only 59 and the most amazing man I've ever known. Not being able to say goodbye n getting that phone call will forever leave part of my heart empty n shattered 💔 missing them in physical presence is hardest.
