DREAM BUILD FIXED GEAR - 1993 Cannondale Track #TheSequel

This is the sequel and the #2 of the pair of Cannondale Track builds. The spec is even more uprated than before and I pulled from my most precious stash of components. The liberal Titanium and Carbon Fiber treatment helped bring the assembled weight down to 15lbs.

Most notable was how exceptionally difficult this build was to piece together, with long lead times on specific parts, getting my hands on the unobtanium that is the Chris King Titanium 1" Threaded Headset, and the complicated process of converting the Campagnolo Boras to 16H Track Hubs.

What an amazing bike! I hate to say anything is wrong but when that gaudy, tacky looking Salsa stem went on I about died. Personally would have put on a nice sleek matte finished NJS stem of sorts and deep drops. Not just for the sake of NJS but for the sake that they look so sharp. It’s just that stem with the crazy wide Easton bars just did not look right on a track bike proper like that. I could have dealt with the bars if they were an inch or two narrower. All that said it is an art form and self expression with quality parts so if that’s what the owner really wanted than that’s great! I’m happy for them! The build was meticulous, well thought out, and took time with very cautious and deliberate movements!!! All around a joy to watch come together!!!!

I need a long chain whip like that, I always have to "set" the cog by pedaling the bike hard and then taking the wheel off to re-tighten the lock ring.
