After 3 years of usage, this phone crapped out on me. I wouldn't recommend it, very annoying.

I remember this was my first phone (2014-2017), and I thought it was the future. I'm using a Galaxy S8 (2017-2022) which I will soon be replacing with the S22 Ultra 512GB. Time flies, and it's fascinating to see how much technology advances in just a decade.

I purchased mine (originally) from Bell. The device was going on two years old at the time. I bought it outright and added a monthly plan and it cost me $300.00. The sign below it said if it were activated on prepaid, it would have cost the $150.00 you mentioned. Doesn't make sense to me. I switched to prepaid in the end but it annoys me that I had to basically pay TWICE as much, just because it was monthly. Anyway, long story short I love the phone. Thanks for clarifying the memory question. Mine's the Canadian version as well and was wondering why it had twice the memory that it's advertised at.

Had this phone for 5 years, just stopped working entirly yesterday. It served me very well, I dropped it many times without any case and it never damaged the screne or the phone itself. Its very heavy duty compared to most other phones. I love how small it is, idk y people love large phones these days, I don't.

There's a way to get past the Flipboard home screen if you install another launcher, it makes the phone more enjoyable. I've had this for a year and a half and will continue to have it until some time where I really need another phone. This is my first phone, and for a first phone it's good, even in 2020.

Good sides: It's cheap compared to other phones, doesn't lag much, simple to use, battery lasts long unless an app drains it (you can use Greenify in that case), and if you only want a phone for calls and music you don't need more than that. Also this phone is an absolute tank, I cannot count the amount of times I've dropped this phone from so many places and the screen never broke, although there is a little cracks on the silver line around it.

Bad sides: It's stuck on Android KitKat, you can't go further than that and so a lot of apps are unavailable because Android KitKat is a bit outdated. Selfie camera is awful, and don't expect to take high quality pictures with the other camera. Not very powerful.

Overall a good starter phone. Would recommend if you're looking for your first phone and have it for a year or two.

I had this phone for 2 years. Gotta be honest, the selfie camera is awful, the camera is slow (if I make a slight movement it shows up as a blur), and the screen doesn't have a nice resolution.

How do I change picture taking to small size? I only put pics on the web so I don't need the images that large even though I want full quality but it takes up so much space on my cell. Why is my camera missing the cog icon? Mine is the Samsung Galaxy Core LTE as well. Model # SM-G386W Android Version 4.4.2

by the way. .. how did you ever find a white version? everywhere I went, the white version was advertised but they all said they only carried black. most phones have had that issue for me when shopping.

You see this is the exact same phone my mum had but it had a screen problem and it required 100 pounds to fix but she bought a new one instead and said I can use my 100 pounds to fix it and keep the phone to myself and I was extremely happy even though I love iPhones more so I watch these Samsung videos to make sure that I'm making the right decision to fix the phone I'm more used to iPhones and I barely ever used a iPhone my mums new phone is also a iPhone so yeah although I feel like I'm making the correct decision

These are great phones for human beings who actually want to use a phone and not walk around with a tablet sized small book stuck to their head type phone.  I actually have one of the smallest cellphones ever made.  It was made by Nokia.  A few years later everyone wants a laptop in their phone and the phones have become stupidly large.  Samsung and Nokia both have great phones that have great functionality, price AND aren't the size of a pile of walrus shit.  Samsung & Apple do however make garage door sized phones - I don't understand why people need phones that large.

This is a phone you can be outright.  Take my advice and buy a phone that you can afford and not subsidize through a 2 year or 3 year contract.  By the time your contract is even 6 months in - your phone is not obsolete but severely devalued and you are still paying full price with markup until your contract expires. This is my experience after working for a major Canadian telecom for years.

Much like a mortgage - you end up paying twice what your phone is worth.

Great type of phones but not for gaming on high ram need...

1GB ram is not enough too to run a game high quality games 👌

lag is a lot and not playable too

I know we can replace the GB ram on different device we have

But 1GB ram is not enough on big server minecraft online
Because the lag make my game slow...it's shameful...
