Not entirely nonsense. Have you tried it? How many times? Without an empirical trial, you can’t really say does it work at all, or only a little. If it is a communication channel with noise in it, and you only hear a clear reply now and then, does that mean it doesn’t exist? Or only that it is a limited channel, with uncertainty governing it’s usefulness. A scientist would form a hypothesis, set up trials, probably a lot of them, and test the hypothesis. And, most importantly, the scientist would keep an open mind about the experiment. Practitioners, on the other hand, have probably experienced some success, and would like to see how far they can push the envelope of success. Detractors won’t even bother with an attempt. Of the two groups, practitioners, and detractors, only one has a 100% chance of success. 😂
