I've been using my acer nitro 5 for almost 6 years now, and had never upgraded the ram or storage, because I couldn't earn enough for it. But I was able to at least clean it and take care of it properly, and has never gotten into any hardware problem. Really helpful tips as well from Jarrod 👍.

Jarrod has single handedly turned me into a laptop nerd. I didn’t even know what an RTX 4090 was until watching his videos a month ago. I also used to be an Xbox guy but am now a laptop gamer (Acer Predator Neo 16)

I use a short laptop stand, I can’t go back to my laptop being flat Ever again. That made a lot of difference and plus it’s so cute.

... in some Youtube videos, you have to rise the playback-speed to 1.5 x or even to 2.0 x as the talking speed is soooo slow, you would fall asleep. Well, this is not the case 🙂🙂🙂 Jarrod is definitely NOT wasting anybody's time here, this is not a "before-going-to-bed" channel.

Watching this on my 2018 Dell G5 while waiting for my Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 to arrive. I picked up the 4090 model and added an extra 1TB of storage. So keen for it.

PSA on Advanced Optimus: to enable it, you must use "Automatic Select" option, and not "Optimus". "Optimus" is what it is, a regular Optimus, not Advanced one, signal still goes through iGPU first, before being sent to dGPU.
I know it's not clear and Nvidia could make it more obvious, but it is what it is.

Regarding the colour calibration thingy. You can usually rent one from a local photography gear rental shop or have them calibrate it for you. That last one might get you laughed at by the old hats though.

On tip 23 (4:12), it is said to have Optimus turned On for better performance, but the graph shown says Optimus On gives you less frames per second. What am I missing?

32GB is the new standard for gaming laptop today. You can live with 16GB sure but 32GB will enable you to do more things while gaming.

Setting RGB to red is genuinely beneficial and not just a joke. Because red has the longest wavelength of all colours, it is the least straining on the eyes. Even though my laptop of capable of full rainbow RGB, I always just have it set to red for this reason.
