You blew my mind. I know it isn't a real 737 that I was experimenting with in a simulator (Xplane 11 737-800) But, I tried the crossbleed start from one engine to another and freaking worked. You never cease to amaze me!

You can also connect warm (not only cold) air externally and it's common in the colder months up here.

Thanks! We had trouble with the APU starting on our flight from JFK to Copenhagen on a 767. We had already been pushed out and had to come back into the gate while mechanics tried starting it. Jet fuel odor in the cabin was very strong. I didn’t know if it was a major concern or not.

I remember being on an early morning flight out of a small airport. Just as we were walking up to a CRJ, the pilot had us wait outside the plane, as they were having problems with the APU not starting. Thanks for the video.

How much power does the GPU provide? I'm guessing it outputs 3-phase 200V, but is it sufficient to run everything on the plane? It seems like that power cable is kind of small to power both buses.

Amazing videos sir ! Thanks for all the great videos. I'm a big fan of aviation industry especially Pilot. Due to economic factors I couldn't afford for Pilot training and have ended up in IT industry but I'm still a big big fan of Pilots and your YouTube videos, android apps and Instagram accounts are making me happy since I'm at-least able see / understand the basics of flying aircrafts. Thanks again !

Mentour Pilot and PRODUCERS, CREW, videos better and better. I thought the APU was only for starting the engines and the engines provided everything else. I was surprised that the APU was the everything else and the engines are strictly THRUST. Thanks for sharing, YET ANOTHER EXCELLENT VIDEO.

Hi Mentour, great video again and very educational, quick question, what is that noise we hear after APU is turned off and engines starts on pushback ( sounds like someone is sawing the plane in pieces) ? not sure you know what i

Mentour!! I am 13 and I live in the Netherlands. I have been interested in flight since I was 6. This year I flew a boeing 737-800 on a flight simulator and I loved it!! Now I want to be a pilot but everything and everyone says that the chance is 95% that you'll waste your money on the pilot education because you won't get a job. Is it really that bad!!!?? Im only thirteen so I have lots of years to decide but I want something to work towards. Is there a chance that in 4 to 6 years the ods of becoming a pilot increased? I want to become a pilot so bad!! If I can't be a pilot on an airline what are other jobs that are ascociated with flight? Thanks in advance!

Great video as always Mr. Mentour but I have a question. We see that the apu on this particular airplane has the inoperative sticker on it...isnt apu a critical thing when it comes to an emergency? How can an airplane get operational allowance without having an operating apu?? Thank you in advance
