Touching gallium

At room temperature, gallium is completely solid. However, it has a super low melting point of only about 30C (86F), so in a bowl of hot water, it should completely liquify. As a liquid, it kind of looks like mercury, but it's not nearly as toxic, and it's much safer to hold in my hand. However, it is a lot messier and tends to stick to things, and it leaves an annoying residue.

fun fact: gallium can destroy metals when you put gallium on it and leave it.This is because Gallium pervades the aluminum oxide passivation layer that forms on aluminum metal, and interferes with aluminum’s crystal lattice, making it brittle this is referred to as gallium-induced structural failure
