Primitive Data Types in Java - byte

In this tutorial we create our first variable of type byte. Byte is one of the eight primitive data types in Java programming language and also the smallest integer data type.

The goal for this lesson is to learn the difference between byte, short, int and long in Java and also which one to use when we are working with whole numbers.
