Kenya Sevens rugby team wins its first World Series cup finals

Augustine Lugonzo gave Kenya a lifeline after finding a gap to give Kenya their first try which was cooly converted by Samuel Oliech to tie the game to 7-7 after Fernando Lunas opening try. Axel Muller put Argentina back in the driver’s seat with a clean run on the wing but Frank Wanyama levelled things for Kenya.
With no time on the clock Kenyan top try scorer Collins Injera gambled for points with a penalty kick which catapulted Kenya into the maiden finals of the HSBC sevens series, for the first time since the wellington sevens in 2013 where Kenya narrowly lost to England. The main cup final will see Kenya take on Fiji at the Singapore national stadium.
