I've thought Jericho for a while, solely for the 1st ever Champion/History books reasoning. Having a legend in the business being your 1st EVER champ, makes sense.

Obviously Jericho is winning. First ever Undisputed champion and now first ever AEW champion

I think Jericho winning makes more sense. Page's push hasn't caught on as hoped and he doesn't bring the name recognition Jericho does. Everyone knows Jericho, it'll generate huge media attention if he wins and I think AEW will want to generate that attention.

I really liked Sam's pick on Jericho vs hangman. Could you imagine headlines "Former WWE Champion becomes first AEW Champion". That sold me on Hangman winning.

Tell you what, I haven't even properly started watching these Predictions, but I can already tell, that this is something different.
You see we had to wait(we're still waiting) For All Out to happen and it felt like an eternity, where as the WWE Ppvs happen very, very often and that kills the hype. I'm damn sure that everyone is excited for the upcoming AEW show, unlike the another WWE's...

I hope if Jericho does win it's not with the judas effect. It looks comical to me kinda like when Cena unleashed his new move. I think it was called the lightning fist?

Who wants Maffew to do a predictions/reaction video? I don't know if his schedule fits but I would love to see him

I’m going for Jericho as first champion. He’s knocking on a bit and there’s never going to be a better time to stick the belt on an ageing star than right at the beginning. Also he’s got excellent name recognition and having him as champion for the first TV tapings feels like a good fit. Heel champions are easier to book. Give him an acolyte to mentor and you can use him to build another heel into a top prospect while at the same time protecting him in matches.

According to big dave meltz the original plan was for Pac to run in on a match probably aftet the AEW title match wich screams to me that hes only for AEW now
