Actor Russell Brand Charged with Rape, Sexual Assault

Comedian and actor Russell Brand has been charged with rape and sexual assault in the UK. Metropolitan Police say the charges stem from several rape and sexual assault allegations that involve four women. The alleged victims say they were assaulted between 1999 and 2005. In Australia, he groped a woman working for the radio station where he was being interviewed. He followed her into the bathroom, and groped her. She had gone into the toilets to get away from him as she was so uncomfortable with the way he was towards her. He then went on air, and told the listening audience exactly what he had just done. He's admitted his actions to the public in this particular case.

For me, Brand has always oozed creepiness.
There are many reasons people don't come forward and report this issue immediately. For me, it's been 10 years and I don't think I ever will. (It wasn't Brand) I don't want to bring it all back up and maybe have to go back on meds again to cope.

The accusers did NOT wait 20 years. He's been under investigation for 20 years and the larger community is just now hearing about it. People in the UK, however, have always known about him.
