The Iron Snail is a men’s fashion vlog starring a young man named Michael and featuring a snail no bigger than a quarter. The two are set on taking over the world of fashion by creating a clothing line to end all clothing lines. Until then, we’re here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the best clothing out there, from the highest quality raw denim jeans to the warmest jackets to the sturdiest boots…the Iron Snail has got you covered. (written by Taylor, though Michael is sometimes known to talk about himself in the third person… xoxo)

That Ralph Lauren jacket is so perfect, the lining, the buckles at the side, and that corduroy collar 😮‍💨 Doesn’t get much better than that!!!

You are so delightfully strange, and I mean this in the best way possible. Only came across your channel a short time ago but you're already my favorite on Youtube!

This is exactly how I like to build my outfits. I love finding vintage pieces because I feel like it’s especially important to think of ourselves as stewards of meaningful objects instead of owners and then we throw it away. If something is already well work or broken in I can become the steward of it for the time being and write my own story with how I use and wear it and it can be passed on. Good stuff!

Ralph Lauren has been doing that factory distressed, look for years. Always replicated never duplicated Ralph has been the originator of it. The polo jacket fits perfectly.

My best thrift pickup is a woolrich hunting jacket from the 30s, a very hard find here in the UK. I also found a wrangler jacket in Amsterdam but wasn’t as vintage as your one. Great find!

You know, as a very tall man, I cannot stress enough, you dunno how good you've got it finding "a little bit too big" anything.

My best thrift find was a pair of Pure Blue Japan selvedge jeans that were the perfect fit and had tons of life left in them. Loving all the videos.

Corduroy collar denim jackets are fire and my favorite trucker jacket. Ralph Lauren does it better than anyone in my opinion, especially their vintage ones. BTW, the one you have is not too big. It fits you well. Also, that wider black wool pants is fire.

Slap the foam off your latte made me audibly laugh super loud in traffic with the windows down. Thank you Michael

I stumbled upon one of your videos years ago and have ended up here via Reddit. I must say, you are some kind of "contained chaotic energy." Your video style is quirky, energetic, and kind of reminds me of those scenes in shows like the Office where individuals gave a conversation with the camera alone. I think I'm a fan now.

About 25 years ago I found a half length leather jacket, black, button up, big collar, in a thrift store. It was seemingly almost unworn. I bought it for £30 I think. When I got home I found a receipt in the top pocket which said it was bought in 1979.
I wore the crap out of it. Eventually a seam went in the sleeve and the lining frayed. I got it re-lined but the tailor forgot about the seam in the sleeve. I put in a box and it’s still somewhere in the house. Some day I will dig it out, get it cleaned up and fixed and return to my early 20s, louche and possibly criminal looking but in a cool 1970s way, self.

My best thrift is 3x basically new LL Bean made in Canada flannels, and an LL Bean rag wool sweater all in the span of 10 minutes. I wear them so stinkin much, and they are fantastic. New LL Bean still rocks though:)

Man you really threw me back in time wearing those boy scout pants. When I was a boy scout, I used to shop at one of their stores that had a bunch of surplus vintage BSA clothing. I was only a teenager then, so I never had the foresight to nab any of the vintage. Boy Scouting truly changed the trajectory of my life, and it really breaks my heart to see how low the organization has fallen. Maybe I was just one of the lucky boys that never got m0l3st3d.
