I like to think that Scourge became the way he is after being traumatized by the bullying from Tigerstar and his siblings. Scourge becomes increasingly irritable and exaggerates what happened to him, as seen in the video. And he thinks that even those who don't make fun of him are secretly ignoring him. He wants revenge on everyone who made fun of him for being small.
