After a blazing run in the 1990s under Coach Steve Spurrier, the University of Florida’s winning streak had dried up by 2005. Enter Urban Meyer, the Gators’ demanding new head coach whose take-no-prisoners style breeds not only a string of legendary victories, but also unrelenting drama that rippled well beyond the locker room. In their own words through extensive sit-down interviews paired with archival footage, Meyer and the titans he coached -Brandon Siler, Tim Tebow, Brandon Spikes, Major Wright, Ahmad Black, and many others- give viewers a bird’s-eye view of how they catapulted the Florida Gators from underdogs to winners of two BCS National Championships. Drilling down with a riveting play-by-play of some of the Gators’ most blistering wins and losses, this four-episode documentary series zooms in on these explosive years of Meyer’s reign.

I was a cop in Gainesville during this era. Those teams were off the chain. Some coaches included. I’ll never know how an 18-20yo kid held the whole thing together.

Counting down the days for this doc to be released. I graduated from UF in 2009. For one semester, I would see Tebow and say hello twice a week for a semester. Really nice dude.

As a Gators fan this doc was fun to watch for sure. I wonder if a few of the main players from these teams declined to be interviewed? Chris Leak, Percy Harvin, Joe Haden, David Nelson, Pouncey Twins... All of those guys had a huge impact, especially Percy. Also, I remember being so pissed that Carlos Dunlap went and got a DUI and was then suspended for the SEC championship in 09. Kind of surprised that wasn't mentioned as it was such a large part of Florida's defensive struggle that game. But seeing the guys in the doc talk about that game was heartbreaking. They were without a doubt the best team in the country that year.

Overall loved the doc and it was fun to relive those amazing years with the behind the scenes from Urban and the players. Go Gators!

I'm excited to see, but I think I was really hoping for a 30 for 30 on it. Just seeing Meyer included in the interviews makes me think they'll gloss over his accountability. He left that program in shambles.

I remember working with the father of one of the RBs. He told me those guys were so wild they ran Urban Meyer out of Gainesville. Had him scared shitless

I spent my whole childhood immersed in a HUGE Gator family, lots of alumni from there- and I still consider myself a Gators fan, but *boy* they're right when they say that college football is bigger than anything the NFL has going, down south. I never understood it, and still don't, how into the NFL people are... because that's the culture in the south. You live, eat, and breathe your team - and you learn to love football, or hate your life because it's everywhere and everyone is rabid about it (a lot like in Britain, tbh). This will be...interesting. Riveting. And hard to watch at times, I imagine - looking forward to it! Don't forget to grab a *Gatorade* to drink while you watch, heh!
