How is Value of Literature Socially Produced?| Terry Eagleton| Literary Theory| Literary Studies
This is a brief supplement to my discussion of Terry Eagleton's "Introduction" from his book "Literary Theory: An Introduction." For more details, please vide my paly list of Eagleton's book.

What is Postcolonialism:
Since I claim to be a postcolonialism scholar, I think it is apt to include a brief description of my field of study. In my view, Postcolonialism ( also written as Post Colonialism or Post-Colonialism) is a dynamic field of literary study that focuses on the history of colonialism and native responses to the colonial policies and life after colonialism formally ends. The field of postcolonialism also offers insights into the literature and culture of the the former European colonies and their struggles after the end of colonialism.

I think the values that we have internalized and have been entrenched deep into our unconscious come from books (literature) that we (writers) writer. It means we make values that a society canonises to be a specific principle.

Sir, Agree with your this very lecture. The gist of this video is that literature can't be produced in isolation. But sir my question is that.. Can we relate this concept with ideology? Means that, ideology constructs the literature and vice versa?
