Great one Chandoo! Also, you can use YEARFRAC() which has the optional [basis] argument with 5 choices for the calculation convention. Thanks for the tips :)) Thumbs up!!

Thank you so much for the extra formula that helped me with my celebration dates, is a lot easier for me now to publish the members that we celebrate this year month by month. It would be great to get them in a table in a monthly order but that on another level. I don't think I have the knowledge to create the formula but this extra formula still did the trick for me. Thanks a lot!!

You can also use Year() function. For example =YEAR(TODAY())-YEAR(A2)

where cell A2 in this context contains the date of birth, then change the format to number.

Edit: Im using excel 365 though

I'm coming across an issue where my result for example is 11/09/2022. MY DOB column is formatted 10/29/1968. How can I convert my new age column to years as it is outputting a date? I've tried formatting the cell but I've had no success.

The problem with Datedif() is that is imprecise. Specifically anticipating the age depending of the date.

Hi Chandoo, love your videos! Is there a way to calculate time to/from a date in a calendar format, like years, months, weeks, days? When dividing the remainders I've had trouble with months since they have irregular numbers of weeks and days.

I kinda differ on the age in 60., I would have used date (day, month, year+60) and then reduce the orignial date. since every 4 years is a leap year and every 400 years there is a leap hundred years. nonetheless great video as always bro, I like ur channel the most
