Wout Weghorst is begging to stay at Manchester United! This is a club on his heart. The club which made him win his first ever senior trophy. His passion even explains that. But will his wish be granted ? The Dutchman has scored paltry 2 goals in all competitions, yet to get a premier league goal for United. United fans have not judged him on his goal contributions but, his work rate. Many love Weghorst on his pressing upfront, winning balls in crucial positions, causing opposition players especially defenders to commit blunders at times. This is what has been the hallmark of his gameplay at United, United fans love this and we even sometimes forget he is a striker, in fact we barely expect goals from him in games. Whilst his impact minus goals is great, we cannot dispute the fact that we bought him for the goals, there were games he had chances and spurned them instead of converting, such games we went barren of goals and in effect led us to lose points. This is my personal opinion about this player with me, let the club give him an offer, his work rate wn on pitch is good and if we were still on 442 formation we could see his job simply because, his partner will be only finishing it in the net wn all the job is done by weguost, so am sure he will fit in the system next season, me i stay with him due to his work rate coz is a player who can even come in the midfield en win the ball from the opponent's, so let's give him a chance

Very many united fans can not see his contribution to the team because he hasnt scored enough goals--but his abilty to hold up the ball and bring his teamates into play ( which no other united player does) is far superiour to Martial -who loses the ball everytime its played up to him. and his work rate closing down defenders is second to none, he is a very useful asset to the team when certain tactics are used.
