5 years of Arknights DPS compiled into a bar race

As for the Average DPS, in general viktorlab calculated it as:
DPS_{avg} = (Damage_{skill} + Damage_{normal_attack}) / (Duration_{skill} + Duration_{normal_attack}) ,
where normal attack refers to the normal attacks done until the operator has enough SP to activate the skill (starting from 0 SP). Common sense solutions were adopted to deal with infinite or instantaneous skills.
In order to determine durations more precisely, Viktorlab also considered the number of frames in animations and whether attack animations were reset upon skill activation/termination. That was too deep for me and what I wanted to do, so I ignored that stuff. The difference was marginal anyway.
Only 6-star operators were featured, excluding those with low damage capabilities (e.g., healers) and Muelsyse because it would have been a nightmare to pick the best clone option at any given time.
The way the comparison was carried out heavily favors AOE operators. This was an arbitrary decision on my part, motivated by the conditions of many powerful operators' skills (Mlynar S3 hits 5 enemies, Degen S3 can hit 6, Logos S3 can hit 4, Gavial Alter S3 can hit 5 if blocked, etc.). Different kinds of comparisons are possible and could be made if there's interest.
Elemental damage was calculated considering the enemies as bosses. This was in line with the purpose of the comparison: see how well operators performed in "hard" content.
Be mindful that calculations may contain mistakes (I would be surprised if I didn't make any...), so take everything with a grain of salt. Moreover, keep in mind that DPS isn't the only metric with which the value of an operator can be gauged. In particular, DPS ranking is NOT a meta tier list.
