Hollywood vs Reality on Madagascar 2. Its is about the 4 animals getting flown from Africa by penguins when their plane has a series of problems some of which are caused by the pilots (penguins.). This is called "pilot induced error."

5:25 The red light is part of the fuel gauge and I know this kind of positioning without additional writing from German planes in WWII (BF109 and 110 for example).
Fun fact: There is a part in the flight manual of the 109 that states that the light of the landing gear might be to bright and distracting in certain situations. In this case it is not recommended to hit them with the manual. The solution in the manual is to put some tape over the lights.

The shot of the gremlin damaging the engine while the lion is watching it comes from the series “The Outer Limits” where a passenger on a plane (William Shatner) is watching a “gremlin” messing with the engine and he is totally freaking out.

Growing up, I realized this movie is just a kids version of Alive (1993) or Society of the Snow. Both are based off a plane that crashed in the middle of nowhere.
