Awesome. There's one, extremely major, update in RR 2 that was left out, kind sir: the player is allowed to attack the motorcycle police. This was a pivot point in gaming history.

funny you should mention gta4 the lost and damned. there's a mission where you race on motorcycles while holding bats and Jonny whill say "let's give them road rash!".

In the PC version I have placed first by running to the end.

No mention of Road Redemption? If anyone's looking for a modern Road Rash game, Redemption is in early access on steam right now and has a lost of positive reviews.

Ahoy's beautiful yet simple style should be studied by content creators everywhere. This video is over 6yrs old at this point but still feels fresh as a warm loaf of bread. The animations we get from current AHOY vids are missing but their absence doesn't *feel* like it's hurting the video in any way. Obviously the older videos are different in that way but they don't feel like they are worse or lower quality. As an AHOY fanboy I can watch these back catalog entries without feeling like I'm watching an older lower quality product. Take heed creators, this is one of the best examples of how to succeed here on YouTube.

I never grew up with the game, but found a couple of copies of Road Rash 2 at my local pawn shop and never thought much about them, and finally bought them in 2018 after getting a Genesis for the first time and I couldn't believe how fun it was for a game as old as I am. Proof they still are fun even today.

The Playstation 1 had three Road Rash releases. The one that was ported from the 3DO and Jailbreak as you mentioned, but between those releases, Road Rash 3D was released.

Oh man I used to love Road Rash. Getting a two player game going with a friend and purposefully crashing in order to foot race each other.

Skitchin was a spiritual sequel of sorts, featuring people on rollerblades rather than on bikes. one of the mechanics was about holding on to cars to be faster than your opponents and eventually flinging yourself ahead

Loved spending countless hours playing Road Rash 1-3 on my Sega Genesis; especially, the later titles which introduced split-screen racing.
