As a 50 year old who played with and collected the original line as an 8/9 year old, and who also hates you for your your youth and beauty, I really enjoy your reviews. This line is a joy to collect because I love the nostalgia of getting the figures I had, as well as the excitement of getting the ones I did not. I did have old M&M here. I bought 2 of him because I like the alternate head with the armor, and keeping the original one plain as I remember. As a collector of Classics, I personally like those figures to keep those extra items and looks that they were released with exclusive to them. I like the vintage to stay mainly as they were, Classics to come with all the bells and whistles, and Masterverse to kind of be a bridge between the two.

I think he's the second best Moss Man released. My favorite is the classics one, but this origins one is a pretty close second

As far as price I do feel $40 bucks is a bit pricey for this figure. However, who am I to say what something should be sold for..I do love the flocking on this figure, and they did have "Collectors Edition" or whatever on the front, so I don't know, it just all goes into how bad does the person collecting want a particular figure. I personally think they have lost their minds on eBay charging over $150 for Cartoon Two Bad when Mattel Creations released it for $50. However, it sold out almost immediately and I got screwed out of it so it being a SDCC Mattel exclusive if I want it in my MOTU cartoon collection I'll pay the money or I simply won't get it and a few months down the road it'll not be found anywhere and if found it could be selling for several hundred bucks. So that's where I'm at with it. I am 51 so I was huge into MOTU when it was released back in early 80's. I was in the first grade in 80' so you could imagine what I had as kid back then. I was collecting all kinds of different lines in my childhood from MOTU, Gi Joe, and Star Wars. I wasn't ever into Transformers too much but had friends that collected those and Thundercats. But yeah am I going to drop 150 or more on the SDCC cartoon Two Bad. Yes probably 😂 I DO NOT want to, and quite frankly it ticks me off to no end but as mentioned I got shut out of the purchase on Mattel Creations when I heard about it and were to order it that Friday it was already sold out. Ridiculous Lol Now this Moss Man you did a review on, I've seen videos where some of these guys/toy hunters have stumbled up on it for 15 bucks or so in stores and passed it up. I would have bought every one of them they had for that price. Amazon still has him, but you're gonna pay about $40 for it. Rio Blast is now on Mattel Creations, and he will be gone QUICK if not snatched up. I'm surprised they still have several Cartoon Collection Man At Arms available. The cartoon He-Man's and Beast Man's already gone on BBTS so can't get those for under $75 now. It's really good to see MOTU is still such a popular toy line after all of these years, and I jumped on the cartoon collection early because I will purchase every one of them they release and vehicles as well. They hooked me with that Orgins subline right out of the gate man. I don't understand some of their decisions with including certain things in packaging and not including other things you would obviously think that would come with the figure. Quick example being The Collector doesn't come with a flight stand but has a place for a stand built into the bottom of it. Hordak not coming with a blaster cannon accessory, and or an IMP. WHY? LOL! He just comes with a Time Stopping device from that cartoon episode. Teela comes with a training robot but no way to hold it up for her to appear as if she is training with it. Oh well. It is what it is. I'll still buy it but they need to think through this a bit further before releasing certain figures. Ok, my rant is now complete! 💯 Ha!

I brought 2of them yesterday at my local Walmart yesterday. Agreed the price is steep but got em. I never had as a kid but glad to add him to my collection. Mattel should have made moss man 20 dollars cheaper. This is a helluva figure. I might get 2 more 😅lol. Good video sir.

He was my fave as a kid and realllly wanted the origins one as an adult for the nostalgia but damn I'm in the UK and people here selling moss man origins on eBay UK at £149 and other ridiculous prices and same with spikor and Sssqueeze. Think I'll give up on origins and just collect the original vintage toys as is still cheaper 😅

I bought mine and he had zero smell of pine? I loved the original Stinkor and Moss man. Stinkor smelled of Patchouli and Moss Man smelled of pine and they smelled strong!

I know I'm in the minority, but as someone who never had Moss Man as a kid, I'd have been fine if there was a non-flocked version as well as this one. I live in the UK and while I managed to order one through The Whole Shebang, a non-flocked Moss Man that could have been part of a regular wave with the classic mace and maybe the yellow armour, that would have been perfect for me. That said, I've never cared abut the action features, even on the figures I remember having (if anything, I feel they get in the way of posing, such as with Flying Fist He-Man and Terror Claws Skeletor) and while I think it's great for people who want them, if it's the action features are the factor in what makes them an exclusive, I can live without if it makes it easier for collectors (especially international ones) to get them.

All that aside, I am keen to get mine once it arrives over here. I do like the inclusion of the extra head (though I agree the first one looks better), the extra weapon and especially the armour. I also agree with you about the packaging, mostly as I dislike riping open the regular packaging. I much prefer packaging that's designed for the figure to be put back in.

Come on Mattel is pulling a fast ocee on us, floxked figures back in the were part of the regular line now they are trying to say it cost rwice as much to flock a figure?!! I call bull spit.

The headsculpt is way better than the initial Reveal. Good call changing it. The unflocked LOP Beast Man head wasn't the best choice for an alternate head, but not Off Theme since the approach was to lean into it being a Beast Man repaint rather than using one of the heads & accessories to differentiate the two. Obviously some will find a use for that head (the non-flocked Cartoon inspired one comes to mind, assuming the greens match). Overall, solid figure & great box. Distribution is a separate matter though. Would be great if it winds up readily available, but the distribution is already wonky so it's not looking good.
