Benjamin Walker Explains The Secrets Of Southernisms

Both Stephen and Benjamin Walker are "stealth" southerners, so they took the opportunity to share some of their favorite down home phrases.

Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. I like the Southern way of putting a verb in future tense with "fixin' to" (often elided to "funna") rather than the more standard "going to"/"gonna"

My first Southern Word was "Ommuhnuh, " in a deep male voice.
I overheard this in a mall, and at the speed of thought I wondered "Is he going into a Sesame Street routine?"
Immediately, though, he finished his thought, ". . . git me a cuppa coffee here."
So "Ommuhnuh" means " I intend to ..."
