As with most rock art, we have lost the original meaning. We may never know what the petroglyphs here at McConkie Ranch mean or their purpose.

For our full guide to these petroglyphs, check out our Trek on our website:

Lots of tribes would decapitate their victims and display as a trophy, especially when they were fighting giants.

A bleeding head seems more like a war trophy than a symbol of canabalism.

That's amazing. South East Asia and Polynesia has headhunter culture that paints/tattoos their warrior's chest with stripes, one strip for every head they bring home. I theorized that this is rooted in Scyrhian head hunting tribes that spread into Asia from the Steppes. The fact that they made it into Polynesia to me says there is no reason why they didn't make it into the Americas. The Scythians, like most Celts, were nomadic and seafarring. They crossed seas and oceans. Even when they settled in landlocked areas, they would still bury their dead in boats

There's those spiral symbols again, there just everywhere around the world. That's a bigger mystery to me.

so what you're looking at is about 3500 years old and you are seeing a snap. The Offspring of Angel and human children who later became gods who went to battle with a lot of our people. My Tribe thought a lot of these Giants and it's not methods fact Yaqui Strong

Those are incredible petroglyphs, large and very detailed. I spent a lot of time hiking around exploring, especially on Pueblo Indian reservations near Santa Fe. I never saw anything like that. Very cool.

you need to go there while on acid or shrooms… ive seen entire movies come to life before on petroglyphs, as if they were more advanced than primitive :)

There's a book called Man Corn that gives an overview of cannibalism in the south west. It also theorized that a possible mini Mayan invasion as the cause of the cliff dwellings.

Six fingers and an elongated head on that last one. Horns on another. It would seem these are likely depictions of the Nephilim giants that were here back then.

I think this looks like a warning pictures to avoid the sword weilding people. Because the big guys do have a ornate clading and know metal work, I would guess they came from central America. The native people there saw what was happening and carved this picture on this walls as warning. Not unlike the recent settlers who came with false peace and massacred the native Indians for their land. Still trying justify by telling they were savages, like the settlers themselves were pretty disgusting in their own country and warring and slaving other regions before they even came to this continent.

The Aztecs, before they left Aztlan. I think they also attacked and subjugated the Anasazi as they headed south to the valley of Mexico.
