I remember this. I watched the Olympics for like 8 hours a day and when I saw her crashing like that I thought I had just witnessed someone dying. I'm glad she recovered. Poor thing :/

I remember watching this live, I was 9 years old when this happened, Me and my family were at my cousins house watching it with the rest of our family...I remember watching her crash and then me, my sister, and my cousins were all sent out of the room until they stopped showing that crash scene, because my parents, and aunts all thought she had died...I'm glad that she is ok now it is a miracle

When watching this live i instantly though "Looks like next one will be Paralympics because she has defo broken her back"

She hit that curb so hard, was terrifying, there were a few complaints before hand about how risky the descent was

Awful crash. But why did she take such a bad line through a tight corner? From cars to bikes doesn’t matter, you start the corner from the outside and round off to the apex. The second lady does the same line but slower. These people need to learn how to corner properly.
