Yeah....kids being stupid doesn't warrant teachers being insane.

This takes “you’re always on your phone” to a whole new level

Mrs. Rogers is one of those teachers who will reprimand you when you misbehave, but also has your back.

Grown-ass man: "This kid damaged a book you can get for free on the Internet, so I'm gonna destroy his $1, 000 phone!"
Yeah, that's someone with anger management issues who probably shouldn't be around power tools or children.

I watched a substitute teacher chuck a kid's phone across the classroom and shatter it in my freshman year of high school. She was in our class for a few months because my teacher was in the hospital, and this sub not only ruined all of our grades (even the good students) but she also trashed the classroom when she heard my teacher was coming back. She took everything out of the cabinets and my teachers desk and threw it all over the room. My poor teacher was in tears when we walked into first period and gave us a grade to help her clean up because she couldn't stand up for very long without getting really tired and dizzy. Her lung had collapsed, and there were complications during her surgery. She was really upset and told the school to never bring that sub back, because my teacher couldn't even fix our grades because they were already in the system. She felt so bad and gave us all easy work for a while so we could get our grades up. It was essentially watching the Odyssey and then making a presentation about our favorite Greek God. I actually had a lot of fun with that project

I had a substitute like this in 9th grade. My band teacher's father had just died so he was spending a week off of teaching. Our sub wouldn't let us play at all. She ran us through basic 5th grade drills (posture, b flat scale over and over, holding concert c) through the entire class. The next day I asked her if we could actually start practicing because we had a winter concert in three weeks. She flipped out on me and told me that if I didn't sit down I was getting after school detention. We did the exact same thing for the rest of the week. Fast forward to Monday of the next week, our regular band teacher wasn't there. Me and a couple of the clarinets from my section went up to her and told her we NEEDED to practice for the concert. She grabbed my clarinet case, took out a pack of my reeds, and and started snapping them. That shit is expensive so obviously I was fuming. I called my mom and we made sure she's never working at my school again. She also had to order me a new pack of reeds and had to apologize to our entire class in front of the principal. My band teacher ended up cancelling the concert because we didn't have much practice time. I still hate that lady and it's been a year.

Edit: spelling mistakes & grammar

That just gave me flashbacks to shop class. Our teacher caught a student using the table saw without the safety shield to cut his literature textbook. He starts yelling and waving his hands around about destroying school property. What the teacher failed to do was turn off the running saw blade as he was waving his hands around. It took 20 stitches and he never got feeling back in part of his hand. The only thing that kept him from cutting his hand completely in half was the safety stop that stops the blade when it hits something soft.

In 9th grade, my teacher threw a roll of tape at a student because she was leaning over and her head was down. Turns out she was going into labor and the roll of tape wasn’t helpful at all.

And my mom would’ve made him pay for a new phone with his money

A girl was talking in my math class in middle school and the teacher got so mad at her he threw a chair at her and luckily she and her friends ducked but it did NOT warrant that kind of response. Obviously he doesn’t teach anymore….

I had a 7th grade teacher scream bloody murder at me INCHES from my face saying I ruin everything, just for talking out of turn. It literally damaged all trust I had left in adults, and there wasn't much left due to my home life.

It's weird when kids are "expected to act mature" when they are KIDS, they LEARN how to be more mature as they get older. Be the adult in these situations.

We had a sub in our art class in high school one time. Nobody liked her because she was always belligerent to the "bad kids" but we all just tried to ignore her and work on our projects. I don't know how the altercation started, but one of the kids who sat at the "bad" table stood up angrily over something she said to him. As he stood up, she grabbed onto his earbud wires and ripped them off, saying something like "sit down and go back to work! No more music for anyone!" We all got annoyed at that, but this kid was furious. He was like "Back off I'm going to the principal and we'll see how long you have a job after I tell him what you said, you fat b**ch."

Important thing to note.... this guy was the only black kid in the class. I can only surmise she said something racist to him. Other kids rumoured she targeted black kids in the classroom who were "bad." Anyway, he goes to march out of the room (the door out was in a short alcove/hallway) and this sub stood in the way, spreading her arms out. She was yelling at him to sit down and that he wasn't going anywhere. Hats off to him, because he told her several times to get out of his way. She refused so he just shoved himself through and out of the class. She tried to grab him but just ripped his jacket off him. She was FURIOUS and was like "I'm calling the officer!"

So she gets on the phone, call the school cop, and as we're waiting, she looks at all of us and says something like, "Now, you all tell the officer when he gets here about how awful he was, right?!"

None of us say anything other than nod. Officer shows up, and we listen to her tell the cop about how aggressive the student was and how he attacked her etc etc. The officer nods, and then tells her to go to the office to wait. He shuts the class door and asks us to tell him what we witnessed.

We all said, "She's a liar." Basically gutted her fake story about the kid attacking her and being violent, pointing out *she* started the fight and was the aggressive one.

That sub never had a job at our school again.

I applaud the kid who videoed it. Evidence is very important in cases like this. Otherwise, its just his word against the teachers.

The closest thing I had toa teacher breaking something in class was in 6th grade. The teacher was angry cause a student was carving some curse words onto several tables. Unfortunately for me, I was seated at the front, directly next to the table that he slammed his fist into and then flipped. I've never been so scared of a teacher in all of my life.

When I was in primary there was a YEAR 1 teacher and she got annoyed very VERY easily. Being 5 year old kids, they were silly, like normal children would be. She would get so mad at the kids that she would tip over desks and throw chairs. One of the kids got a concussion from the chair hitting him in the head. She was quickly fired.

I would literally cry. My phone has so many photos of my dog that has less than a year. I couldn’t imagine feeling that pain.
