— Question: Distinguish between Carbohydrates, Proteins, Lipids, and Nucleic Acids.

Biological Macromolecules such as Carbohydrates, Proteins, Lipids, and Nucleic acids have significant differences.

🍎 Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for our body. It is a biomolecule that consists of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms. In addition, carbohydrates help fuel our brain, heart muscles, central nervous system, and kidneys.

🐟 Proteins are the major structural molecules in living things for growth and repair. This means that Proteins do most of the work in cells and is responsible for the regulation, function, and structure of the body's organs and tissues.

🥑 Lipids insulate the body to help maintain normal body temperature. Additionally, lipids help to lower our blood pressure, they also improve the function of our blood vessels, and prevent heart attack.

🥬 Nucleic Acids have two types namely the Deoxyribonucleic Acid or DNA and Ribonucleic Acid or RNA. Nucleic Acids are a significant kind of macromolecules found in viruses and cells. Its functions involve the storage and expression of genetic information.

Question:
Distinguish between carbohydrates,
proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids

- Carbohydrates is the main source of energy for the Body

-Proteins are large biomolecules and macromolecules that comprise one or more long chains of amino acid residues. it can be found in Fruits, Vegetables

-Lipids is a macro biomolecule that is soluble in nonpolar solvents. Non-polar solvents are typically hydrocarbons used to dissolve other naturally occurring hydrocarbon

-Nuclei Acids are biopolymers, macromolecules, essential to all known forms of life. They are composed of nucleotides, which are the monomers made of three components: a 5-carbon sugar, a phosphate group and a nitrogenous base.

The distinguishing roles that these macromolecules are:
-Protein, protein are the main building blocks of our body, it helped our cells to build and repair damaged cells organ in our body keeping it healthy

-Lipid, lipids meanwhile are the fats that our body have, one of their main roles are being the cell membrane of our bodies cells keeping the cells together and their innards

-Carbohydrate, carbohydrates are the main source of our bodies energy, enabling us to do our everyday task in our life.

-Nucleic acid, are the info carriers of our body, they are mainly known for in our DNA carrying our genetic information.

Carbohydrates are the compounds containing carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in the forms of hydroxyl, aldehyde or ketone. Lipids are the organic compounds that are insoluble and in the form of oils and fats. Proteins are the high molecular weight polymers that contain the elements carbon, oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen and sometimes sulfur.

Question: Distinguish between carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acids.

- Lipid molecules contain more energy per gram than carbohydrates (about twice as much) Carbohydrates are more readily digested than lipids and release their energy more rapidly.

Question:
Distinguish between carbohydrates,
proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids

*what i've learn is that Lipid molecules contain more energy per gram than carbohydrates, because carbohydrates are fast to digest and release it energy rapidly.
* while Nucleic acids are chemical compounds that occur naturally and serve as the primary content molecules in cells,

Question: Distinguish between carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids.
A gram of fat contains twice the amount of energy as a gram of carbohydrate. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Proteins are the basic building blocks of all living things. Proteins are big, complicated molecules that combine to generate a variety of living organism components, including muscle fibers, enzymes, and hemoglobin.
