Thank you for this clear, concise explanation. I dealt with my elder sister who died with PH, and now I suspect I may have developed it also. This helps me understand some questions to ask my doctor and sort out some symptoms from existing health issues I have. It's not as scary when you understand more about it. As most would agree when you're elderly. It's not death that scares us, it's the thought of becoming a helpless, highly expensive burden to the family.

My mother had been diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension two years ago. I have been zealously researching about this condition from then onwards. This is one of the most clear and concise explanations I have seen on YT. Her PAH treatment consists of 25 mg of sildenafil 3x a day initially prescribed by her pulmonologist in addition to supplemental oxygen and 20 mg of furosemide every other day (+ doxofylline and 2 inhalers for her COPD). Thankfully, her PAH is well under control. Btw, what is your opinion on beraprost sodium. I had once asked her cardiologist about the next step in case her PA pressure shoots up way beyond her usual range and he stated that beraprost sodium will be taken in conjunction with sildenafil. TYVM.
