I’m definitely a the odd one out for this. Bought the surface dial as a volume knob. Man that thing is heavy and has nice hepatic feedback as you turn. But it’s expensive

That could be handy for a truck simulator. Window knob. Cruise control increase and decrease. Only if it infinitely spins either directions

Cool for looks but in practice I doubt the volume control would be perfectly accurate with the turns since the volume on computers tend to be in clicks

I can see this being useful with an on-the-go setup for any video editing, or animation project. It could work for timeline scrubbing. But for around $10 more, most people will want the utility a full macropad has to offer. Which begs the question. Who is this for?

Teenage Engineering makes a similar knob meant to control volume on their big speakers, but it connects to PC via bluetooth. Teenage Engineering make some of the nicest audio gear on the market.
