Yes. Haitians eat cows, goats, sheep, chickens, pork, etc., but cat meat is a delicacy that many from the countryside simply can't resist.

Catchy, but...Actually...as it turns out Yes, Haitians eat cats. However, eating cat meat is mostly not a daily or nationwide practice. Haitians MOSTLY eat cats on December 24th in a national festivity called "Reveyon", a big Christmas party.This is known to occur mostly among select groups of Haitians found mostly in the countryside and remote villages in Haiti. Now, did the activity we're hearing about from springfield residents occur in December of last year? That's when it would be most likely to happen. Regardless of this, cats are known to be used in voodoo ceremonies in Haiti as well, and yes even christians in Haiti practice voodoo. And by "used" I don't mean anything that ends well for the cats.
