I've seen a huge CRT/VHS style trend sweeping the music video landscape over the past few years, but 99% of videos are just using the same plugin. After Effects can only take you so far - here's how it's really done.

Just want to start by saying the video is super concise, and I love the aesthetic you are getting, okay on to a couple of notes for clarification:

- You are using an HDMI to AV "downscaler" not an upscaler. An upscaler would be in the opposite direction (AV to HDMI).
- Your Etsy device isn't a "circuit bender" it is a circuit bent device, but also might just be a "dirty video mixer" which would be its own original circuit, not a circuit bent piece of already existing old analog video gear
- This one doesn't really matter, but it isn't a "CRTV" lol the T stands for tube, but I do like calling it a CRTV like CCTV or something

(I know this video is a year old, just wanted to clarify the language for any viewers)

Instead of filming the screen why not output the signal from the TV back to the computer? Or just go HDMI to circuit bender back to computer?
