Trump’s New York indictment ‘helps’ to increase his influence

Former US president Donald Trump’s indictment in New York “helps” him have a bigger influence, according to University of South Alabama Associate Professor Thomas Adams.

“There’s no one in America who has not made up their mind over Donald Trump,” he told Sky News Australia.

“This only basically forces to some degree a lot of Republicans who might otherwise look somewhere else – look to Ron DeSantis and say ‘no we’ve got to support this guy’.”
