Показать описание

This video was recorded in Hong Kong. In the video, Kavyanjali recites a poem written by the noted Indian poet Shiv Mangal Singh "Suman". This poem speaks on the feeling of thankfulness towards the different people we meet throughout our lifetime. Hindi, an Indo-Aryan language, is one of the official languages of India. It is the fourth-most spoken first language in the world, following Mandarin, Spanish, and English. In the 2011 Indian census, 322 million people reported Hindi as their first language, with an additional 270 million reporting it as a second language.

For anyone wondering: This is very, very pure (shudd) Hindi. It is basically very formal Hindi without any loanwords from other languages. This is only used in formal occasions, for example if the prime minister is having a speech or in litterature. In casual conversation no one speaks like this, so if you didnt go to school in India or you havent studied Hindi you probably wont understand majority of this

Hindi is such a sweet language. I’m in love with it, even if I’m Irano-Swiss.

Damn, I thought that I knew Hindi well enough, but I barely understood half of this.. it's so formal.

those who are saying that this is not how hindi is spoken and its way too idealistic... I has to be, its poetic Hindi, there is a reason students have to read and re read this to understand what its trying to say (I know I did when I used to learn Hindi in my school).
And formal Hindi is different, and a different kind of complex too.

Sounds like a poem of some sort? My Hindi's not great but I'm learning so if anyone could write down the words in the comments I would really appreciate it.

It's a tatsmic Hindi(Hindi with full row sanskrit loan words)..
The actual vocabulary of actual Hindi is the vocabulary of Awadhi, Braj and Kauravi,

No one talks like this, it’s way too formalized. Almost like an idealistic way for someone to talk.

No one speaks this language in India. What she spoke is a remnant of the now extinct Sanskrit which used to be her forefathers’ so called ‘godly’ language which they had prevented other communities from learning.
If there is Hindi, then what she spoke is not Hindi. Hindi is as diverse as there is population in north India.

Either wikitongues has selected a wrong person or she has acted foolishly.

This is a very biased version of speaking hindi, its basically Sanskrit Hindi, its not everyday Hindi that most people (speak (which isnt slang )
